The Housekeeping Staff take initiative in maintaining clean, healthy and safe facilities after weekend (and occasional weekday) use by rental groups. The Housekeeping Staff will work closely with the Office Administrator and the Onsite Hosts and is accountable to the Executive Director.

Successful applicants:
- Must have experience in areas of housekeeping or have a willingness to learn.
- Must be attentive to detail.
- Must have the ability to perform the necessary physical tasks.
- Must possess the ability to work well alongside other people.
- Must have flexible hours of availability (approximately 5-12 hours/week).

The successful candidate should uphold the vision and mission of Mennonite Church Saskatchewan and Shekinah Retreat Centre.

Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager, Language Training & Daycare, you will assist immigrants in their transition to a new culture and settlement in Canada by helping them develop English Language skills and community knowledge that will enhance their full participation in Canadian society.


**Candidates under consideration will be required to participate in an assessment process consisting of any/all of the following: interview, language abilities, and computer testing.

Salary Range: $19.31 to $24.44 per hour
Job Status: Casual -Varied (morning, afternoon, evening, and Saturday)

3. Education and Experience :

  • Must have Bachelor of Education, Social Science Degree, or other University Degree, Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language recognized by TESL Canada, plus one year experience delivering instruction or programming to immigrant clients, OR
  • A Bachelor of Education, Social Science Degree, or other University Degree and three years experience teaching English as a Second Language to adults who are new Canadians adapting to Canada
4. Required Licenses and/or Certificates

  •  CERTESL Certification, TESL or related certification recognized by TESL Canada (see Education and Experience); accreditation by TESL Canada or TESL Saskatchewan is not required but would be an asset.
  • Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) certification – no criminal record
    (Includes Vulnerable Sector Search) must be done within last three months.
