Heritage Baptist church is an evangelical, Bible based church composed of a group of people
who are committed to following Jesus Christ. Our mission as a church is: “Developing followers of Jesus Christ who will live the Great Commission” (Matthew 28:19-20). We are a church that is seeking to grow in Christ-like character. Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do as we worship and serve our Lord both within the context of the local church and reaching beyond to our community and our world.

How do we accomplish these tasks? Not only do we provide opportunities for our church family
to grow in the Lord, but we strive to offer exciting and prayerful programming for our community as well! Programs such as a thriving Sunday School for all ages, a growing weekly Kids Club where many children come from other churches, or non-churched backgrounds, weekly prayer group, youth group, several small groups and Raise the Roof (A monthly youth event that draws over 150 kids from Yorkton and surrounding communities). Our church is passionate about praying for and supporting missionaries, both overseas and from our congregation.

Formerly known as Central Baptist Church, our church is deeply rooted in the community and
celebrated our 100th Anniversary in 2010! Heritage Baptist Church has a regular attendance of about 170 each week and is located in the fastest growing area of Yorkton next to two elementary schools and a Community Sports Facility. We are currently in the 2nd Phase of a building addition, which will consist of a new Fellowship Hall/Gym, a new kitchen, more classroom space, offices and a youth room.

Yorkton is a city of about 17,000 people and is located in East Central Saskatchewan. We are
the retail and service centre for more than 200,000 residents of the eastern part of our province and western Manitoba, making it the third largest trading area in the province. It is under 2 hours to Regina and 3 ½ hours to Saskatoon. We are home to many popular restaurants, a Junior A Hockey Team and recently built the Gallagher Centre, which is a multi-purpose recreation and entertainment complex.
